2022 Love Week at Shining Hope Farms

Aug 1, 2022 | News

This past week was LOVE WEEK for the Outreach Team at Elevation Church. During the last week in July, members of Elevation Church go out into communities all over the world, to partner with organizations like Shining Hope Farms, to make a difference in the lives of those who are in need of hope.

This past two Saturdays were no exception to the faithfulness of this Church at our Mt. Holly and Charlotte Farms. We were blown away by how much we were able to accomplish with the assistance of the LOVE WEEK volunteer teams at both farms. In addition to the Elevation teams that joined us to be the hands and feet of Christ, Elevation Church provided thousands of dollars in materials for each event.

We were surprised and honored when Pastor Jeff Bates and Outreach Director Tessa Young of Elevation Lake Norman and Pastor Steven and Holly Furtick of Elevation Ballayntyne NC chose to present Shining Hope Farms with a gift of $10,000 during their Sunday July 24th Worship Services.

We could never thank Elevation enough for the support and generosity that this ministry has offered SHF in the past 7+ years. From their partnering with us on a monthly basis at our farms, sponsoring large projects during LOVE WEEK, to gifting Shining Hope Farms in the past and present. We thank all of the members of Elevation for giving of their time, talents, and tithe. It takes a community joined together in faith to make a difference in our world community!

At Shining Hope Farms we would like to recognize Elevation Liaisons: Troy and Debbie Ohmes and Rocky Culbertson, Liaison Joan and Mark Rex, Hosts: Rachael Van Alman, Brielle and Michael Twiford, Sheila Gibson, Cindy Demers, and Karen Neiss for their dedication and willingness to step forward and lead our volunteer teams. Without you we could not do what we do.

Boosting Horse Health with Smart Earth Camelina Oil: A Game-Changer for Shining Hope Farms

One year ago, a horse named Red came to us in poor condition. He needed some extra care and attention, especially before becoming a therapy horse, and so our barn manager Cindy started searching on the internet for a good oil supplement to help him. She wanted something to help him gain weight, be shelf stable and offer other types of supplements to help him be the best that he could be. That’s when she found Smart Earth Camelina Oil.

Our First Charity Bass Tournament is in the Books

On Saturday, May 20, we hosted our inaugural Charity Bass Tournament on Lake Norman at the Beatty’s Ford Access Area in Denver, NC. Being that the tournament had the biggest one-day payout on Lake Norman in 2023, it was widely attended with over 100 registered boats.
