University Christian High Schools Cross Country Team Partners with Shining Hope Farms

Nov 20, 2022 | News

On November 10th 2022, Shining Hope Farms staff members Destynee Sanders and Joan Rex were honored to receive a donation from University Christian High Schools Cross Country Team.

Coach Jim Frizzell of the UCHS Cross Country Team, presented a $100 check to the Shining Hope Farms Conover Farm. The CC team received the Second Place Community Service Award “Racing to Help Those in Need” at the 2022 John F. Hall Catawba United Way Cross Country Invitational.

The team has partnered with us in Conover by volunteering their time and talents during Saturday Volunteer Service events. We are so grateful for this great group of young men and women who have stepped up to make our farm a better place for those in need of hope in the surrounding Conover communities.

The CC team also joined the Conover farm for our Saddles and Salutes 5K-10K Trail Run honoring our Veteran’s and First Responders in September of this year. Many of their team members received awards for their excellent performance during the race.

Thank you to University Christian High School for being the change we all want to see in the world. We look forward to your participation in our service events next year.
