Our First Charity Bass Tournament is in the Books

On Saturday, May 20, we hosted our inaugural Charity Bass Tournament on Lake Norman at the Beatty’s Ford Access Area in Denver, NC. Being that the tournament had the biggest one-day payout on Lake Norman in 2023, it was widely attended with over 100 registered boats.

Everyone at Shining Hope Farms would like to express how grateful we are to Randy and Sheila Gibson for coming up with such a great idea for us to host a recurring Bass Tournament. This could not have been done without the tremendous help and advice of Jason Land, Tyler Walls, and Norm Lowe. Being the expert fishing people that they are, this event was sure to be a success! With the help of our staff members, Patrice Gibson and Jessamyn Farrell, along with many of our faithful volunteers, the event turned out to be spectacular! We completely filled up the parking lot at Beatty’s Ford Access early in the morning with 97 registered boats. We are so pleased that our event was so well attended and the fellowship among the anglers was so strong . We appreciate all the support you gave and we surely hope that you all will come back again! Hope to see you at our next tournament event on December 16th, 2023.

Shining Hope Farms Bass Tournament Winners

A special thank you to Matt Lewis and Dan Weber, who invented and designed WeighBook. We were fortunate that they chose our Bass Tournament as the first opportunity to display and showcase their software product, which kept real-time weight scores of all the competitors’ catches. It was so exciting getting to watch the big screen with all the current information.

Thank you to Jeff Walls and Pepsi for supplying all the beverages and display coolers.

Thank you to Triton Ranger Nitro for the $8,000 bonus money.

Thank you to Mark Rex and Portable Power (Bob Rhyne) for supplying generator light to light up part of the parking lot.

Thank you to Lard’s Backyard BBQ, Randy and Sheila for providing the delicious BBQ lunches.

Thank you to Ross Myers (RWM Designs) for the custom trophies and plaques for the 1st, 2nd place and Big Fish.

Boosting Horse Health with Smart Earth Camelina Oil: A Game-Changer for Shining Hope Farms

One year ago, a horse named Red came to us in poor condition. He needed some extra care and attention, especially before becoming a therapy horse, and so our barn manager Cindy started searching on the internet for a good oil supplement to help him. She wanted something to help him gain weight, be shelf stable and offer other types of supplements to help him be the best that he could be. That’s when she found Smart Earth Camelina Oil.
