Shining Hope Farms Awarded 2024 Grant from Lincoln County Community Foundation to Support Affordable Nature-Based Therapies

Aug 15, 2024 | News

Shining Hope Farms is honored to announce that we have been awarded a 2024 grant from the Lincoln County Community Foundation, a regional affiliate of Foundation For The Carolinas. This critical funding will help make our nature-based therapy services even more accessible to children with disabilities from Lincoln County.

The grant will specifically support affordable access to Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling sessions. These sessions often incorporate equine movement and the natural farm environment, creating a uniquely engaging and therapeutic experience for our clients.

Many of the families we serve face financial barriers, with 50% living below 200% of the federal poverty line. Thanks to this generous support, we can continue offering services to Lincoln County families at little to no out-of-pocket cost, ensuring that children in need can receive innovative, evidence-based therapy regardless of their socioeconomic status.

We are deeply grateful to the Lincoln County Community Foundation’s local board of advisors for recognizing the importance of expanding affordable care options for children with disabilities and mental health needs in our community. Their investment allows us to continue improving health, wellness, and independence for individuals throughout Lincoln County.
